About dynamic websites and content management systems

Koumbit specializes in the installation and configuration of blogs, portals and content management systems (CMS) such as Drupal, WordPress, as well as wikis such as MoinMoin.

A CMS is much more than a web site: it is also a virtual office which can revolutionise your work patterns by linking members or clients of your organization–even if they are thousands of kilometers away. A CMS can thus act as an intranet or an extranet, if it is configured to do so.

Koumbit's expertise in Drupal

Many of Koumbit's members have used the Drupal CMS as early as 2001. Since its foundation in 2004, Koumbit has put Drupal in the centre of its development strategy and thus became one of Canada's leader in this particular field.

So far, Koumbit has developed more than 60 sites powered by Drupal, CiviCRM or a combination of both systems, while contributing on a regular basis to the broader Drupal community. Koumbit's contributions have essentially consisted in module upgrades, enhancements and translations, the development of new themes, and user training sessions. Many of the aforementioned projects have required avanced techniques such as the implementation of multilingual pages, blocks and menus (sometimes in a right-to-left alphabet), database upgrades and migration, and the importation of functions fom other applications.

In January 2008, Koumbit became an accredited integrator of the Desjardins Online Payment Solutions, which enables registered merchants to receive direct credit card online payments.
